Own a Piece of History!
 Chippewa School
The Demolition of Chippewa School is underway. Exterior historical masonry elements were preserved and will be installed on the grounds of Tioga School as a tribute to the history of the building.

Bricks will be harvested from the building during demolition and will be available for sale to the public. Each brick will include a 4-inch by 6-inch plaque that reads:
Bensenville Community HS       Blackhawk Jr. High       Chippewa School
1927-1955                              1955-1965                   1965-2012

Each brick is selling for $25. Proceeds will be used for a legacy project at the new Tioga School. A public sale date will be set when the bricks are ready. Orders are also being accepted and buyers will be able to pick up the bricks at a future date. Download the Chippewa Brick Order Form, and return to the district with payment.

To reserve your bricks, contact Terry Ryan, Community Relations Coordinator. Include name and phone number. Or, by phone 630-766-5940 ext. 1105 Or, print the order form and submit with check.

Commemorate your family or honor a loved one

A legacy walk in front of both Tioga School and Johnson School provides the opportunity for families to buy bricks with an inscription. Engraved bricks are available for $50 each, with proceeds going to a legacy project at each school.
The engraved bricks are a great way for families to be a part of history as Bensenville opens these new schools. Bricks can have three lines, with 13 characters per line.
Submit the order form with check or money order.
