PBIS: Year Four
Blackhawk is very excited to build upon the successes of our first three years of PBIS implementation. The whole school has been a part of the PBIS initiative, creating a more peaceful, respectful learning environment throughout the school. We look forward to another successful year of PBIS at Blackhawk as we strive to increase respect for everyone at our school!
Students at Blackhawk are recognized for meeting behavior expectations through praise and the distribution of Blackhawk Bucks. A token economy has been established to allow students to spend these Blackhawk Bucks on numerous items and services throughout the year or to participate in Big Raffles. In addition, groups of students may be awarded a Big Buck to recognize a collection of students who meet behavior expectations. Also, our students participate in Celebrations of Good Behavior every six weeks to mark their successes.
