10/4 Tioga School welcomed the Frida Kahlo Community Organization
Tioga School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by welcoming the Frida Kahlo Community Organization and their folkloric dancers! The students learned the rich history behind popular Mexican folkloric dances from the dancers themselves! They also had the opportunity to learn and perform a folkloric dance
Families were invited to join in after school for the folkloric dance workshop and to learn more about the dances, the culture, and to have fun! A great time was had by all who attended. A huge thank you to the Frida Kahlo Community Organization.
Tioga Early Childhood Center News
District 2 and Metropolitan Family Services broke ground on the expansion of the Early Childhood Center on Wednesday, October 5. With the six new classrooms, we will be able to serve more children ages birth-5. The addition is expected to be completed this Spring.
During this construction period, we ask that all of our Tioga families exercise extreme care when driving in the Tioga School area. Extra precautions will be necessary as heavy machinery and trucks will be coming and going during the project. Complete street closures are not anticipated at any time during the project; however, delays may occur from time to time. Additionally, the sidewalks on the west side of the building and on the east side of Mason Street are closed. Please use an alternate route.
Thank you for your cooperation. Further updates will be posted on our website as they become available.
