I am extremely excited to come to Bensenville as the new
principal of Blackhawk Middle School. Before coming to Bensenville, I
spent five years as an administrator in Addison; two as the
principal of Army Trail Elementary, two as the assistant principal of
Indian Trail Junior High, and one as the assistant principal of Army
Trail. Before then I taught general music for five years for grades K-6 in
Cicero.
We have a new theme here at Blackhawk Middle School:
Blackhawk is a COMMUNITY of LEARNERS! WE are ALL in this TOGETHER!
The “this” that we are all working together at is educating each child
to reach his or her full potential and prepare them for a world of
opportunity.
Please know that our parents and guardians are a critical part of our
learning community as you are your child’s first and most important
teacher. Children spend more than 90% of their life from birth to the
age of 18 outside of school, and parent involvement is the most
important predictor to a child’s success in school.
We need to work together as a team to educate your child and help
ensure them a successful future. If you have any questions or if there
is anything that we can do to support learning at home please contact
us. Also, you know your child the best, so if you have any suggestions
or if there is anything we need to know about your child please let us
know. There cannot be too much communication between school and home! |
