Project C.A.R.E. Plus

Project C.A.R.E. Plus stands for Citizens Active in Reading Education where volunteers work with students with an emphasis on Reading Plus Math, Writing, Social Studies etc. The program mirrors our Our Vision, Our Mission, Our Beliefs statement.

This program is an academic mentoring program that has been in existence since 1996.  It assists the elementary students in their learning process.  There has been an average of 300 volunteers giving 6000 hours of educational support and self-confidence.  Volunteers commit to one hour, one day per week working in the same classroom each week.

Our volunteers are those who want to make a difference in a child’s life.  We welcome them from our own community and neighboring communities.
