Course Description: The visual arts class will emphasize individual creativity, skills development, and the examination of the works of others in the form of art history and art appreciation.
All grade levels will be writing a short compare and contrast paper on two selected works of art.
6th Grade - Art around the World: Students will experience cultures from around the world and learn about their traditions and values through the art they create.
7th Grade - Cave Art to Picasso: Students will research an artist and produce a work of art based on their artist.
8th Grade - Art Media Exploration: Students will be sampling different medium and art techniques.
