JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT VOLUNTEERS VISIT JOHNSON SCHOOL
A group of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers from Junior Achievement recently came to Johnson School to work with our students.  Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a series of business, economic and life-skills programs to enhance the education of young people.  Each classroom was provided with a trained volunteer to present the Junior Achievement program, which spans over the course of a morning during class time.

    CALLING ALL BAKERS!

Sweets are needed!  The 5th grade is hosting it's annual Bake Sale during Johnson's Friday Night Family Social on February 24, 2017.
Donations of baked goods - individually wrapped, homemade or store bought, are being sought.  Baked goods can be dropped off at school during office hours on the 24th, or they can be brought directly to the Social.  All proceeds benefit the "End of the Year" Celebration for our 5th Grade Students.  Thank you!

STUDENT COUNCIL-COLLECTING POP TOP TABS FOR A CAUSE

Johnson's Student Council is collecting pop top tabs for a good cause - to support families at Ronald McDonald House.  Once collected, the pop top tabs are recycled by the charity's recycling partner, United Scrap Metal.  The charity will then receive the market value of the recycled metal, plus a charitable match from United Scrap Metal.  Every Advisory has a collection bin and you can watch our collection grow in the large bin by the office.  Please send your pop tabs in with your child and help support a very worthy cause.

    JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

Johnson P.E. Teachers, Mr. Williams and Mr. Breault, geared up our students for our annual Jump Rope for Heart Campaign with a fun assembly last Friday.  Flyers also went home.  Your support of this program is very much appreciated by all families affected by heart disease.
