    DUCKS AT JOHNSON SCHOOL
For the second year in a row, a mother Duck has decided to make the courtyard at Johnson School her home.  Mama Duck has about 13 ducklings parading around the courtyard and splashing and swimming in a baby pool - provided by our principal, of course! Last year Mom kept the ducklings pretty much out of sight, but this year she is more trusting, and shows off her brood throughout the day.  Our students and staff enjoy taking a moment to stop by the windows to watch our Johnson duck family.  We will keep you updated as they continue to grow, and eventually fly away on their own!

A-Z COUNTDOWN TO THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL-NO SPIRIT WEEK IN MAY
At Johnson School we are celebrating the last days of school by counting down the alphabet each day with a special activity. Due to this activity, we will not have Spirit Week as published in our May Newsletter Calendar.  Instead we will focus on our A-Z Countdown!  A calendar was sent home with your child detailing the events for each day.  There is also a copy of the A-Z calendar in our virtual Friday Folder for your convenience.

    KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
If you missed Kindergarten Registration and still need to register your child, please call our school office at 630-766-2605. Parents - you need to make an appointment to come in and register so that a teacher can screen your child. When you come at your appointed time you will need to bring your child, a certified copy of your child's birth certificate, full proof of your home address and your photo ID. Registration packets are available in the school office during regular office hours - 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.             Thank you!

KINDERGARTEN MEET THE TEACHER AND CURRICULUM NIGHT will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017
All incoming Kindergarten students and their parents or caregivers are invited to attend the Kindergarten Meet the Teacher & Curriculum Night on Monday, August 21, 2017.  Mark your calendars now for this very important date.

    ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR RETURNING STUDENTS
It's not too late to register your child online.  Using the student-specific sheet your child brought home with his/her ID# and code, you can go online and follow the simple instructions to update your child's information.  If you need the use of a computer, you may go to any district 2 school or the Bensenville Public Library. If you need assistance, please give us a call.  If you are moving out of the district, please go online to the MOVING option and enter your information.  Thank you!
