    CHILDREN'S DAY AT JOHNSON SCHOOL
Children's Day is celebrated all over the world with activities that focus on the importance of love, accepting and appreciating children.  In Mexico, it is called El Dia del Niño.  Poland celebrates the International Children's Day called Dzien Dziecka.  Germany's celebration is Kindertag.  In Turkey, it is called Ulusal Egemenkik ve Cocuk Bayrami.
On THURSDAY, APRIL 27 our students will be working throughout the day on activities to help them reflect on what makes each of them a unique and wonderful human being!  Help us celebrate our children at our Children's Day Parade, which will be held outdoors in front of the school building, at 1:00 p.m.

    KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Kindergarten Registration for the 2017 - 2018 school year will be held on Thursday, April 27, from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. in our school cafeteria.  Your child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2017 in order to register.  It is very important that you bring your child, a certified copy of your child's birth certificate, full proof of your home address and your photo ID.  Office Staff and Kindergarten Teaching staff will be on hand to register, meet and screen your child.  Please plan to attend if you have a Kindergarten-aged child and you live in the Johnson attendance area.  Please note that due to the screening process, Kindergarten Registration can take up to an hour to complete.  Spread the word to your friends and neighbors who might also have a child to register.  We look forward to meeting you and your child!

    ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR RETURNING STUDENTS
Online Registration for all District 2 returning students will open April 13 and close May 1.  On April 13, your child will bring home a student-specific sheet with his/her ID# and code.  Follow the instructions on this sheet to register your child online for the upcoming school year.  If you need help or the use of a computer, you may come to any district 2 school for assistance. Please give us a call if you have any questions.
