District 2 encourages parent involvement in its school. Parents are urged to support the work of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) or Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) through membership and attendance at meetings.

PTA/PTO programs deal with the development and education of children. In addition, PTA/PTO meetings give parents the opportunity to meet teachers and other parents, and learn more about their child’s school program. Consult your school’s PTA/PTO for meeting dates. All parents who volunteer in the school or for field trips are subject to background checks.
