During the school year, children are occasionally photographed and videotaped for District community relations. The photos and videos may be shared with the local newspapers, displayed in school, posted on the District’s website or social media pages, broadcast on cable television, and/or shown in classrooms or at school-sponsored events. The photos and videos are not used for commercial purposes, and students are not identified by name unless it is for special recognition. The District assumes it may both photograph and video tape children at school unless a student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) request in writing by October 1 that they do not want their child photographed or identified.
