2024 First Grade Community Field Trip

THESE ARE THE PEOPLE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD: First graders enjoyed a beloved District 2 tradition last week, the community field trip. As part of their study of communities, BSD2 first graders go on a fun-filled tour of Bensenville every year, meeting local police officers and firefighters and learning how they protect and serve the community. They also tour Fischer Farm and learn how some of Bensenville's earliest settlers lived in the 1800s. They wrapped up their adventure at Deer Grove Leisure Center, where they enjoyed an afternoon of crafts and activities. A HUGE thank you to Bensenville Park District, Bensenville Police Department, and the Bensenville Fire Department for making this tradition possible!
