Hi! Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. I am excited for a new and challenging school year! I have been a teacher at Blackhawk Middle School since 2002. I am a special education teacher with a reading specialist masters. I love basketball and coach cheerleading here at BMS.
I have four core beliefs that drive my teaching.
1. I am here for my students. My students are the reason I get up every day. I am here to be your champion!
2. I have high expectations both academically and behaviorally. I expect excellence from each of my students!
3. When you enter my classroom, positivity is the only option. In my class, we choose our mood and we choose positivity!
4. I believe anything is possible! Never limit yourself by saying, "I can't!" I am here to let you know: There is always hope!
I love animals; well maybe not birds (they scare me!). I have 3 cats: Foofifoo, Cheetarah, and Dante. I also have 1 dog: Beatrix Kiddo! I love adventures such as hiking, skydiving, and horseback riding!

2002: This is the year I graduated from college and was hired as a teacher here at Blackhawk Middle School. My education and career are very important to me.
7: I have been cancer-free for seven years! This shows that I am a hard worker and can accomplish anything I put my mind to!
4: I have four pets (can you tell I love animals?!).
99: Red Balloons - I love music!
1: There is only 1 me! I believe in being unique and embracing people's differences.
