The upcoming 2018 – 2019 school year marks my 6th year as co-principal and I believe this will be our best year yet! It is an honor to be able to serve our community and I look forward to seeing the smiling faces of our kids every day. I started my professional career as a social worker helping families in crisis on the west side of Chicago. Although important, I felt my work was reactive and I knew I was not able to have an impact or make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families I served. I felt that the world of education and schools would allow me the opportunity to be proactive and become part of something bigger. I’ve worn many hats in education and I can proudly say that I love being a co-principal and school leader. Bensenville is an outstanding community and Johnson School has the most amazing students, staff, and teachers! I look forward to a wonderful year with everyone!

I am excited to begin the 2018-2019 year at W.A. Johnson, and look forward to working with our students, staff, parents, and community members. I decided to become an educator because I love helping students learn. I have ten years of classroom experience where I taught many different grade levels in elementary, middle, and high school before becoming a school administrator. As an administrator, I was drawn to Bensenville because of the rich culture, diversity, and commitment to excellence. Serving as the co-principal at WA Johnson is a great honor, as it is a responsibility. I believe that our commitment to work together is key to fulfilling our mission of children achieving their highest potential. I am honored to serve this community, and will work hard to gain your trust and respect as WA Johnson’s co-principal. I look forward to working with everyone in our school. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
