IMPORTANT UPDATE: Remote instruction to continue through Columbus Day
Bensenville School District 2 will continue to provide 100 percent remote instruction through at least Columbus Day (Monday, October 12). Then a hybrid remote/in-person model is tentatively scheduled for implementation on Tuesday, October 13.
This is a change in plans. The District was tentatively scheduled to transition to its hybrid remote/in-person model after Labor Day.
However, the BSD2 Board of Education voted to delay that transition during its special meeting on Wednesday, August 26.
According to DuPage County Health Department data, local COVID-19 infection rates are trending upward.
“While our community’s transmission rates had been steadily declining earlier this summer, this month they have gone back up again slightly,” said Board President Bob Laudadio. “In addition, 41 percent of our parents signed up for 100 percent remote learning through the first trimester. Also, we expect our staff to work from the schools in support of our students and families."
