STAY WARM: Rotary providing ‘Coats for Families’ on December 7

Image of Toy and Coat Drive flyers Bensenville Rotary Club will distribute new and gently used coats during its 18th annual Coats for Families event, which will be held Saturday, December 7, from 9-11 a.m. at W.A. Johnson School, 252 Ridgewood Avenue, Bensenville.

Coats will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must be present to receive a coat. If a child has a coat in good condition that doesn’t fit, you are encouraged to exchange it. Adult coats will also be available on a limited basis.

Bensenville Rotary Club’s Coats for Families event is held in conjunction with the Village of Bensenville’s 49th Annual Holiday Toy Drive. Residents can support these efforts by donating new and unwrapped toys, new or gently used coats, and new hats, scarves and non-perishable food items at donation boxes located throughout the community through Sunday, December 1.

Monetary donations to Bensenville Rotary’s “Coats for Families” event can also be made by visiting www.operationwarm.org/BensenvilleRotary. Every $20 donation buys a new winter coat for a child in need through Operation Warm.
