FULL SERVICE: Early release Tuesdays now feature STEM activities for BMS students

Image of the Center for the Gifted BMS STEM Activities flyer - info on flyer is repeated in the story The Full Service Community Schools Program in District 2 is partnering with the Center for the Gifted and the Bensenville Community Public Library to provide after-school STEM programming for middle school students on early release Tuesdays.

Each week will feature a different experiment or build. 

The STEM activities will be available on a first-come-first-served basis to the first 60 BMS students in attendance. 

The schedule of activities for September and October is as follows:

  • Chemistry: September 10, 17 and 24
  • Simple Machine Madness: October 1 and 8
  • Candy Science: October 16, 22, and 29

The activities will be held from 2-3 p.m. in the Meeting Room at Bensenville Community Public Library, 200 S. Church Road in Bensenville. 

District 2 will provide participating students with a snack following the activity.
