ALL ABOARD: Keeping up with the BSD2 Board of Education is easier than ever now

BSD2 Board of Education meetings have always been open to the public, and the materials Board members review in those meetings are always public documents, available to anyone upon request.

Now, though,it is easier than ever for District 2 parents, staff and residents to keep up with the BSD2 Board. No need to attend meetings in person. No need to request copies of the Board’s agenda packets.

Since the start of the pandemic, all Board meetings have been live streamed on the District’s website, www.bsd2.org. Last spring, the Board made that practice the District’s policy, so -- from now on -- stakeholders from all across the District need only go online to watch Board meetings.

Additionally, parents and staff will receive email and text message reminders before every meeting. Those messages will include links to the live stream and to the same online Board agenda packet that -- until now -- was only provided to Board members.

Following each meeting, the District will also recap highlights and need-to-know info in “BSD2 Board Briefs,” which will be posted to the District’s website and sent to parents and staff.

To receive meeting notifications and the “BSD2 Board Briefs” recaps, contact Tim Waldorf, Community Relations Coordinator, at 630-766-5940 ext. 1122 or twaldorf@bsd2.org.
